CARbIDE TURNING INSERT GUIDE

a cooler cutting tool and extended tool life.
GRADE INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION RECOMMENDED MACHINING APPLICATIONS
A general purpose grade with broad application on cast irons and high temperature alloys. Suitable for use in
N22 C-2
solid carbide end mills and drills. For machining cast iron, non-ferrous & high temperature alloys.
Recommended for general-purpose milling and machining, moderate chip loads on roughing operations of
N60 C-6 moderate interruptions, also long, dry cuts. Good resistance to shock and greater wear resistance than N55.
For machining steel.
Medium to heavy roughing over a variety of materials including cast iron, cast steel, carbon steel, alloy and
hardened steels, and stainless steels in the 300-400 series. Excellent life at speeds of 325 to 650 SFM with
NP1000 —
greater resistance to edge wear. Also added strength provided by a special Newcomer sinter-hip enhancement.
CVD coated grade.
