           CASE STUDY:
A CGW XXL Z3 Flap Disc was tested against a top competitor's comparable flap disc. Each 40 grit flap disc was tested on carbon steel for one five-minute cycle.
The result was that the competitor's flap disc had 1/3 less life than the CGW disc.

CGW Flap DisCs vs. GrinDinG Wheels CGW Flap DisCs vs. resin Fibre DisCs CGW Flap DisCs Only vs. GrinDinG Wheels +
            • Faster stock removal – No gouging and • 20 Times Longer Life – Longer working life for resin Fibre DisCs
smooth finish. great cost savings. • Faster stock removal, less gouging, reduced
            • Cooler Performance – Less glazing and loading. • Self-Sharpening Action – More consistent operator fatigue, and longer life.
Less re-work. finishes. • Intermediate and finishing of welds.
            • Consistent Finishing – Easier to control for better • Easier Storage – No problems with humidity. • All ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
quality and no discoloration. • No Back-Up Pad Needed – Reinforced phenolic • Deburring, deflashing, rust removal and snagging.
            • Easier Operation – Lightweight, layered design fiberglass backing wears away with the flaps. No • Surface finishing, blending and stock removal.
has a cushioning effect for reduced operator marring, unlike plastic or aluminum backings. • Cleaning and finishing.
fatigue and reduced noise and vibration.
