UB 1700S metric hand taps have straight flutes so can be used to thread both through and blind holes, whilst the bright finish helps stop workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool for clean and accurate threads. Manufactured conforming to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the taps are made from premium high speed steel for superior performance and longer tool life, and are suitable for hand tapping a wide variety of materials including steels, aluminum, stainless steel and cast iron.
