For a set of three 1500 Union Butterfield hand taps in taper, plug and bottoming chamfers, choose 1500S sets. Available in UNC, UNF and UNS thread forms, the 1500 taps in the sets have straight flutes for threading both through and blind holes and are manufactured to conform to the American National Standards Institute. Suitable for hand tapping many materials including cast iron, steel, aluminum and stainless steel, the taps have a bright finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting surfaces of the tap for accurate threads. Each set of 1500S includes one each of 1500 taper, plug and bottoming chamfer taps.
