Union Butterfield 4600 taper pipe hand reamers have a 3/4" per foot taper for finishing tapered holes to accept standard taper pipe taps and have a reduced small diameter for easy location and centering to improve accuracy and performance. The precision ground geometry of the left hand spiral flute provides smooth reaming and improves surface finish and hole size, whilst the straight shank with square drive is primarily suited for hand held reaming with a suitable wrench. 4600 taper pipe hand reamers are manufactured from High Speed Steel and can be used for reaming in many materials including aluminum, steel and stainless steel.
