Chapter Composition of TAC Inserts
r Each page of this chapter is composed so that you can select an appropriate insert for your machining operation.
r TAC inserts for turning are arranged by shape as follows: C (80°) g D (55°) g S (90°) g T (60°) g W (80°) g V (35°) g Y (25°)
g R(360°) g Other shapes
r In the same shape, inserts are arranged in order of negative to positive. In the negative/positive inserts, they are arranged in order of
“with hole” to “without hole” respectively.
r Chipbreaker types are arranged in order of precision finishing, medium finishing, medium cutting, and heavy cutting or according
to the degree of the feed or depth of cut to be applied. No chipbreaker inserts are arranged on the last page of each insert shape
