Rectangular Tooling Plates-Modular, Standard 1/2"
Ideal modular tooling plates for vertical machining centers, incorporating our Standard (1/2-13) modular system. Cast iron Material provides superior accuracy, dimensional stability, and vibration dampening. Finish machined to tight tolerances, with a grid of multipurpose holes spaced at 2.0000" within .0008" of true position. These Rectangular Tooling Plates can be accurately connected to create many length and width combinations. Plates can be mounted either lengthwise or widthwise. The length of each plate is equal to the width of the next-larger size, allowing many possible combinations by turning plates 90°.
Multipurpose Holes(Standard)
Each multipurpose hole on a Standard System MF40 tooling plate or block has a 1/2" ID bushing on top with a 1/2-13 threaded insert below it. Multipurpose holes are located in a precise 2.0000" grid pattern, spaced within ±.0008 inches of true position. Locating Screws, with a precision ground shoulder, are used to locate and fasten at the same time.
Mounting
Two Locating Keys are required to locate a Rectangular Tooling Plate on a T-slotted table . Each plate has two sets of locating holes, for lengthwise or widthwise mounting. Mounting holes fit almost any USA or metric slot spacing. Fasten using socket-head cap screws and T Nuts .
