Standard Abrasives Cleaning Pro disc is lined with silicon carbide, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and smooth finish. Silicon carbide is a very sharp synthetic mineral commonly used in low-pressure applications like paint prep. While the mineral breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a finer finish. This makes the Standard Abrasives Cleaning pro disc best suited for sanding and finishing applications on fiberglass, composites or soft metals.
