Description
3M 7100039200 is the Scotch-Weld PR100 plastic & rubber instant adhesive formulated to bond difficult to bond substrates including EPDM, polypropylene and polyethylene with primer . This 500 g bottle of 3m scotch weld plastic adhesive delivers handling strength in 20 seconds and achieves full cure in 24 hours for durable, high overlap shear performance. Low viscosity, self leveling formula enables thin bond lines for gasket attachment, small joint assembly and trim / mounting applications. The flexible dispensing bottle supports both precise drops (pinch) and steady beads (squeeze), improving application control and reducing waste. Made for both indoor and outdoor use, PR100 provides strong overlap shear strength and impact resistance when fully cured for service temperatures to 180°F (82°C).
Product Features and Benefits
Exceptional adhesion on difficult plastics
Formulated to bond EPDM, heavily plasticized PVC and, with appropriate primer, polypropylene and polyethylene for reliable substrate joining.
Fast handling and predictable cure
The 3M 7100039200 can handle strength in 20 seconds and full cure in 24 hours gives rapid fixturing without sacrificing final bond durability for production or repair work.
Low viscosity for thin bond lines
The 3m scotch weld plastic adhesive consists of self leveling liquid dispenses cleanly for thin, precise joints ideal for gasket attachment, small assemblies and electronics trim work.
High overlap shear strength
Cured bonds deliver high shear performance to resist shock and loading in demanding assemblies.
Flexible, dual-mode dispensing bottle
Pinch for drops or squeeze for beads to match application needs and reduce adhesive waste during repetitive tasks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is 3M Scotch Weld PR100 plastic and rubber instant adhesive best used for?
PR100 is best for bonding difficult plastics and rubber gasket attachment, small assemblies and trim where fast fixturing is required.
Do I need a primer for polypropylene or polyethylene?
Yes, polypropylene and polyethylene require an appropriate primer to achieve reliable adhesion with PR100.
Is PR100 the best waterproof adhesive for plastic applications?
PR100 provides durable, water resistant bonds once cured, but substrate and environmental testing should confirm suitability for specific waterproofing needs.
Can PR100 bond silicone or EPDM gaskets effectively?
Yes, PR100 is formulated to bond EPDM and many rubbers including silicone gasket applications when used per product instructions.
