Square Pallet Tooling Plates-Modular, Heavy 5/8"

Ideal modular tooling plates for horizontal machining centers, incorporating our Heavy (5/8-11) modular system. Cast iron Material provides superior accuracy, dimensional stability, and vibration dampening. Finish machined to tight tolerances, with a grid of multipurpose holes spaced at 2.0000" within .0008" of true position. Universal mounting holes fit almost any inch or metric slot spacing, using JIS side location. The tooling plates fit 500mm square pallets.

Multipurpose Holes(Heavy)

Each multipurpose hole on a Heavy System MF50 tooling plate or block has a 5/8" ID bushing on top with a 5/8-11 threaded insert below it. Multipurpose holes are located in a precise 2.0000" grid pattern, spaced within ±.0008 inches of true position. Locating Screws, with a precision ground shoulder, are used to locate and fasten at the same time.

Mounting

JIS mounting is the most-common way to locate tooling plates and blocks on a horizontal-machining-center pallet, with two precisely machined reference edges at 90° to each other. The plate or block is first pulled against the pallet's side locators using three socket-head cap screws, then fastened down with four to eight socket-head cap screws, depending on the pallet size.
