Adjustable Locking Hubs – Stainless Steel, Two Round Ends
Inline Version for 220 Degree AdjustmentAdjustable Locking Hubs are rotary bearings that provide positive locking at any 10 Degree increment. Once locked, the hub becomes an absolutely rigid joint, able to withstand considerable torque. The stainless steel type shown here, with two round ends, can resist 80 ft-lbs of torque, with a 5:1 safety factor. Applications include adjustable fixtures, rotating fixtures, welding fixtures, trunnion mounting, adjustable handles, foldable handles, adjustable part trays, adjustable shelves, adjustable racks, adjustable and/or fold-away work surfaces, positive positioning of lighting or nozzles, and collapsible structures. Patent numbers 5,586,363 and 5,689,999. Other patents pending. Made in USA.
Inline Version
The inline version shown here has hub extensions that line up in the same plane. Total range of movement is 220 Degree (not full rotation).
Mounting
The version shown here has two round ends to fit 3/4" ID pipe or tubing. The tapped mounting holes can also be used to attach a plate or angle bracket.
Safety Precautions
Avoid any possible pinch points, especially with heavy loads. Do not release the hub unless adequate support for the load is in place. Do not let loads swing freely. When using offset hubs that can rotate 360 Degree, always ensure that loads are balanced in the rotational axis.
