The 3M Cut-Off Wheel 654BK is a general purpose cut-off wheel for carbide tool manufacturing. With a highly concentrated diamond abrasive mineral, solid construction and a steel core, it is commonly used for trimming tool blanks on carbides, high speed steels and hard metals.

• A "go-to" wheel, the 3M Cut-Off Wheel 654BK strikes a balance between form retention and cut rate. It is designed to retain form under use. This cut-off wheel features a steel core. The steel core allows the use of smaller wheel flanges and it improves the lateral stability of the cut-off wheel. The resin bond is designed for use with a water-based coolant.
• This wheel conforms to the 1A1R shape and is 6 inches in diameter, 0.35" thick and the arbor hole is 1-1/4".

• This cut-off wheel is an outstanding choice for cutting carbide blanks to length or trimming off the damaged ends of end mills and drill bits prior to re-sharpening.
