Constructed on a water resistant, polyester cloth backing and resin bonded with a sharp silicon carbide mineral, this belt is a reliable abrasive for even the most delicate jobs.

The 3M glass seaming cloth belt 461F uses silicon carbide, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and excellent finish. Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low to medium-pressure applications such as finishing stainless steel and glass . While it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a superior finish.
