Pilot-Operated Check Valves
7250 psi maxHolds clamping pressure until released by a separate pilot pressure line (allows only one-way flow until released). Can be used as a safety device in case the fluid line to the fixture could become damaged. Can also be used to prevent workpieces from floating between opposing clamps. Leakage-free valve design with spring-loaded ball seat. The version shown here is used for in-line mounting with standard fittings and exposed fluid lines. Also available in a manifold-mounted version.
Operation
Flow from B –> A is free flow. Return flow from A –> B is locked until hydraulically unlocked by pressurizing the control port Z.
Design Considerations
Pilot-Operated Check Valves are not suitable for locking double-acting swing clamps (pull-type cylinders). Due to the unfavorable surface-area ratio of these elements, the control pressure is not sufficient for unlocking and dangerous pressure intensification can occur.
Mounting & Fluid Supply
Mount in-line, in any position, horizontal or vertical. Three 1/4" BSPP ports (A and B ports are 1/2" BSPP on high-capacity version).
