The 3M resin bond diamond super abrasive wheel 637BI is a fast, free-cutting wheel developed to grind polycrystalline diamond (PCD), carbide, thermal spray coatings and other hard-to-grind materials. Its unique resin bond construction is designed to reduce or eliminate wheel conditioning altogether to simplify and improve processes and promote higher throughput.

• Wheel conditioning is a costly part of the grinding process when working with superabrasive grinding wheels on very hard materials. Costly in terms of time, consumables, worker safety and it generates debris in the coolant. By eliminating the use of dressing sticks, higher throughput is possible - and so is lower cost-per-part and greater worker safety.
• This fast-cutting, long-lasting, diamond superabrasive wheel has demonstrated that it can boost productivity when cutting PCD, carbide, thermal spray coatings and other hard to grind materials and change the process profoundly. 637BI was observed to grind more consistently than superabrasive wheels, without being dressed, with greater metal-removal rates and without additional motor load or amp draw.
