Carr Lock Back-Mount Receiver Bushings
The Carr Lock System requires that each Carr Lock Clamp be used together with a Carr Lock Receiver Bushing – either the back-mount type or the face-mount type. The clamp's locking balls engage the angled ID section of the Receiver Bushing, pulling the clamp firmly downward. Back-Mount Receiver Bushings are installed in the subplate from below, with a slight press fit. Made in USA.
Application Information
Each mounting point consists of three components: (1) Carr Lock Clamp, with a precisely ground shank (2) Carr Lock Liner Bushing or clearance hole in the top plate (3) Carr Lock Receiver Bushing in the subplate.
Installation
Back-Mount Receiver Bushings are more compact than Face-Mount Receiver Bushings, but take more effort to install. Back-mount bushings are installed in the subplate from below, with a slight press fit (measure actual bushing before boring hole to provide .0005 maximum press fit, to avoid ID distortion). The installation hole must be jig bored for accurate size and location. Installed bushings will be approximately .012" below the subplate's top surface.
