3M Temflex tape 1100 is a general use, 10 mil thick, printed tape with corrosion protection. This tape is designed to help protect conduits, pipes and metallic cable jackets. The tape resists abrasion, punctures and electrolytic actions that are buried above or below the ground. It withstands a wide temperature range of 10 to 120 °F ( 12 to 49 °C).
Temflex 1100 TapesTemflex 1100 tapes are made of tough, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), especially formulated for corrosion protection of pipes, conduits, and metallic cable jackets.
They are easy to apply and provide excellent protection against:
- Abrasion
- Puncture
- Corrosion
- Electrolytic action
Both above and below ground, these tapes resist corrosion caused by:
- Acids (e.g. sulfuric, hydrochloric, phosphoric)
- Alkalies
- Other corrosive materials
- Compounds of chlorine, bromine, sodium, and lithium
They also resist salt water and sunlight.
Features- Highly Resistant: Resistance to galvanic and electrolytic action, and excellent insulation resistance
- Tough Durability: Excellent abrasion resistance, good impact and tear resistance, and resistant to weather–induced cracking and checking
- Corrosion Protection: Protects fittings and joints on mill coated pipe, above and below ground
- For Indoor and Outdoor Applications: Provides protection of conduit, pipe and systems subjected to abrasion, corrosion and electrolytic action
- Common Application: Moisture sealing of threaded conduit joint
- Stability: 5-year shelf life (from date of manufacture)
