Scotch tape 23 is a 30 mil, premium grade, highly conformable, rubber splicing tape. The self fusing tape has a special polyester liner, which will not stick to the tape upon unwind. It withstands temperatures up to 194 °F (90 °C).
Scotch Rubber Splicing Tape 23Scotch Rubber Splicing Tape 23 is a thick, premium-grade rubber splicing tape composed of a self-fusing ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) backing on a removable polyethylene liner.
For best results when using this tape, apply it in successive, half-lapped layers by highly stretching it-reducing the tape width to a minimum of 3⁄4 the original width-throughout the entire application until the required build-up is reached to produce a uniform winding.
