3M Tri-Flange Earplugs feature a triple flange design to help fit a variety of ear canal shapes and sizes. The ear tips are made of a flexible thermoplastic material that can be washed and reused to extend the product life. These durable, reusable cloth corded earplugs are easy to use again and again, reducing waste. The NRR may overestimate the hearing protection provided during typical use. 3M recommends reducing the NRR by 50% for estimating the amount of noise reduction provided. 3M is leading the advancement of hearing conservation.

Research suggests that users may receive less noise reduction than indicated by the attenuation label value(s) on the packaging due to variation in fit, fitting skill, and motivation of the user. Refer to applicable regulations or guidance on how to adjust attenuation label values. It is recommended that the NRR be reduced by 50% to better estimate typical protection
