3M double coated tape 9828 features a thin film carrier and a medium-firm acrylic adhesive that works well on many plastics and foams. 3M adhesive 340 provides good initial adhesion and holding power to a wide variety of materials including HSE plastics. The 0.5 mil polyester carrier adds dimensional stability and improved handling during slitting and die cutting operations.
Bonds a Range of Materials, Including HSE Plastics and Foams
- A thin, consistent alternative to glue, 3M Double Coated Tape 9828 can be used for foam, fabric and gasket attachment. This tape offers long-term temperature performance up to 120°F (49°C). A clear 0.5 mil polyester film carrier between adhesive layers adds dimensional stability to foams and other substrates and provides easier handling during slitting and die-cutting. 3M Adhesive 340 is applied to the liner side of the film at 1.5 mils and at 2.0 mils on the face side for effective wet-out. The white 55# densified kraft paper liner is compatible with rotary die-cutting.
