Carr Lock System Kit

s include everything you need to set up an efficient quick-change fixturing system. The system's foundation is a Carr Lock Subplate-a precision-machined steel plate with Carr Lock Receiver Bushings installed in a standard pattern. Carr Lock System Kits also include one or more Carr Lock Fixture Plates, plus all required Carr Lock Clamps and mounting accessories (Sure-Lock Fixture Keys, T Nuts, Socket-Head Cap Screws, and a Preset Torque Wrench). Made in USA. This System Kit includes (1) 400 x 400mm Carr Lock Subplate, (1) 400 x 400mm Carr Lock Fixture Plate, and (4) 20mm Carr Lock Clamps.

Accuracy

The Carr Lock System is extremely accurate. All Receiver-Bushing installation holes are located +/-.0002" from their primary reference hole. Clamping repeatability is +/-.0005", while bushing concentricity is .0002" TIR. The resulting x/y-axis repeatability of a mounted fixture plate is +/-.0028" considering all tolerance accumulation.

Mounting (Subplate)

Two locating holes for Sure-Lock Fixture Keys are provided for alignment with a slotted machine table. Fasten to the machine using the six mounting slots provided, with Socket-Head Cap Screws and T Nuts to match the machine table.

Mounting (Fixture Plate)

To fasten the Carr Lock Fixture Plate to a subplate, begin by inserting a Carr Lock Clamp into each of the four corner holes. Next, fully tighten the clamps one at a time-first the clamp in the primary liner bushing, then the clamp in the secondary liner bushing, then the clamps in the clearance holes.

Design Considerations & Safety Precautions

Never use a subplate that extends beyond the machine table on which it is mounted.
