The reduced diameter of quick change discs provide ease of use on intricate parts, and excellent control when shaping or blending surface portions. Ideally used on flat surfaces to utilize more cutting action, the moderate flexibility of quick change discs and their holders also allow contouring and access to inner corners. The unique quick change functionality reduces changeover downtime and eases transitions between grit, material, or even abrasive type where multi-step processes are required.

Self-sharpening grains continually produce fresh cutting points, reducing friction and prolonging cut rates under lighter pressure. Additional grinding aid further reduces heat, extending disc life.
