3M Scotch-Weld Urethane Adhesive 3549 is a brown, non-sag, two-component polyurethane adhesive. This urethane adhesive has a 60 minute work life for panel bonding or repositioning. Ideal for bonding dissimilar substrates, such as composites, SMC, FRP, many plastics, ceramic, wood, rubber and metal.

3M Scotch-Weld Urethane Adhesives 3549 is resilient to impact, providing a strong bond capable of withstanding shocks and collisions. This urethane adhesive is also constructed to resist sagging approximately 30 seconds after mixing. Its non-sagging feature allows for more precise handling and accurate application. 3M Scotch-Weld Urethane Adhesives 3549 cures at room temperature or with heat. This option gives you control over how quickly a bond establishes a certain level of shear strength. At room temperature, Scotch-Weld Urethane Adhesives 3549 reaches handling strength in 7 days. Upon application, its 60-minute work-life presents flexibility and provides ample time for adjustment and positioning to achieve optimum results.

Polyurethanes are a class of polymers generally noted for their flexibility when cured. Two part polyurethane adhesives comprise two independent formulations designed to be mixed, much like an epoxy adhesive. The isocyanate stream, generally the accelerator or hardener side, reacts with the polyol or resin side. These two components will react when mixed, curing more quickly than one-part, moisture cure polyurethane systems and with no depth of cure issues.
