Meet Kurt's revised and updated DX6 machine vise

For years, the Kurt DX6™ CrossOver™ machine vise has been the “gold standard” - one of our top sellers here at All Industrial Tool Supply, and one of the most popular, well-known machine vises on the market from any brand.

For Summer 2021, Kurt has updated the DX6 with a new, “Revision B” design that includes refinements and improvements, while keeping critical dimensions identical to the old “Revision A” DX6 vise. We’d like to share some of those changes with you:

Important changes to the Kurt DX6 vise

Revision “B” Kurt DX6 vises now feature integral casting of the stationary jaw to further reduce deflection and increase stability during clamping (previous revision “A” models used a bolt-together assembly.)

• The updated revision of the DX6 is based on the same design used successfully on the Kurt 3600V series for many years. There is much less deflection when clamping compared with previous DX6 models as a result of the changes.
• The cast stationary design also provides some other improvements, for example, “blowing back” of chips and/or coolant onto the machine operator is reduced.
• The updated DX6 also has a re-designed, lighter weight nut, and a new brush seal design.
• Kurt’s proprietary AngLock® spherical segment is used on the DX6, yielding all-directional alignment while reducing jaw lift, which improves performance.
• The bearing pack has also been updated to a larger, stronger, and more durable version.
