3600 psi max Double Acting Fixture Clamps are extremely compact, high-precision power vises designed to be incorporated into workholding fixtures. Unlike standard vises, Fixture Clamps do not have a leadscrew for adjustment – instead using exchangeable, machineable clamping jaws that must be custom sized for the workpiece. Slim, solid vise body with high-rigidity and complete protection against dirt and chips. Manifold mounting is standard for maximum compactness and mounting flexibility, but fluid can alternatively be supplied using standard fittings by adding an optional Adaptor Plate. The fixed-jaw version shown here has a fixed reference jaw and a sliding jaw, available with either a standard stroke or long stroke. This is the smaller of two sizes, with 40mm jaw width, providing the following clamping force at 3600 psi: 2100 lbs .

Clamping Action

Applying fluid pressure to the A (clamping) port advances an integral hydraulic piston which actuates the sliding jaw. Switching pressure to the B (unclamping) port returns the piston, pulling the sliding jaw back to its unclamped position. Fixture Vises can only be used to clamp inward, on the exterior of a workpiece.
